New Track: "Blue Skies Forever"

New Track: "Blue Skies Forever"
The New Single, from Upcoming EP "Tekken Not Stirred"
Download: HERE
Played: One Life Left Season 4 Episode 6
Featuring (Guest Pianist): Adonis Smythe

This one was inspired mainly by the campaign on UK:Resistance urging people to petition developers to bring back blue skies in games and cut back on gangs, guns and shades of grey.

Even though I dashed the lyrics off for this one while I was doing a poo I'd like to think this doyouinverts offering (that sounded wrong) has a bit of depth to it. The transition from the 80s to the 90s. The first war in Iraq. It's littered with metaphor. I expect GCSE English Lit courses to be based on this in 50 years time.

I had intended the last bit to cycle for 10 minutes, for a real lighter-in-the-air feel, but my fingers started hurting when I was recording it and I imagine One Lift Left would prefer not to take up a ¼ of the podcast with a doyouinverts song. Obviously, at the live performances this will be the doyouinverts Hey Jude - and that's the first, and last time, you'll hear the timeless works of the Beatles and the doyouinverts offerings mentioned in the same sentence again.

Musical guest Adonis Smythe once again lends his glittering fingers of +1 piano and celesta playing.

Hello Do You Inverts! Derek Williams here. I presume you know about the OLL CD launch on the 29th of November. Well I was wondering if we could perhaps collaborate and produce something of mindblowing incredibleness that peace and harmony would break out the world over, for said event. Get in touch if you would like to such a thing.

Loved it - lovely jangly guitar, slightly off-kilter harmonies and all!

Perhaps you could also write a series of songs about seeing the Dreamcast logo appearing in various real-life items, and how Adam Doree is a twat for propagating that Shenmue III myth.

I love this tune - heard it on OLL some time ago, and have been meaning to track it down since.
